Lions and Tigers and Panda bears at Zoo Atlanta

I love animals, and there's a zoo in Atlanta so let's go!  How does Zoo Atlanta compare to other zoos? Great question. The first thing that caught my attention was the ticket price. $25.99 per adult. After taxes, it was practically 60 bucks to get 2 people in. Considering the last 3 zoos I've been to were free, I was shocked but I'm sure it's going to a good place so whatever.

The zoo itself is a decent size, if you're moving along, you can probably get through the whole thing in 2-3 hours. As far as the animals and exhibits go, there wasn't anything that stood out to me that I haven't seen in other zoos. They have pandas listed as a star attraction but the panda facility was tiny and those guys were just sleeping. The panda exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Zoo in D.C. is much better and let's you get way closer to these black and white fur balls.

Overall, is the zoo worth your money and your time? In my opinion, no. Unless you just love animals or on a personal mission to support every zoo, then go for it. The Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago is one of my favorites (and it's free). The Smithsonian National Zoo is another standout for me (also free) with really great exhibits. If you're going to go, buy your tickets beforehand online and save a few bucks.

I have never been to Zoo Atlanta. Though I already visited several Zoos in the country, some of my friends keep on telling me that Zoo Atlanta should be part of my bucket list next year, since they know that I love seeing animals. Well, because of your article, I was more encouraged to go there as soon as possible. At first, I was quite hesitant to go there because I'ver been telling myself I've seen these animals from there previous zoos I've been. But I guess, Zoo Atlanta has something different to offer for me.
