K Restaurant has been a staple in the College Park community of Central Florida for many years. This high-end eatery prides itself on quality food with ingredients sourced from local vendors. The menu changes regularly offering more reason to return to see what's new at K. I've eaten at K Restaurant many many years ago and had a great experience. Gosh it's probably close to 10 years since I've been there. The prices are higher so it's not a place us peasants can often frequent. Couple that with the explosion of the culinary scene in Orlando the last few years, I guess I just never made the time.
The restaurant is just as I remembered it with little changes over the years. The exterior still looks like a portable classroom back in middle school. The posterior garden still grows fresh herbs used in the restaurant. The inside is still quaint and inviting. Staff and service is still excellent. New owner Chad Phelps made routine rounds to all tables to ensure everyone was having a great experience (shout out to Chutney). Our server was great and attentive and food came out lightning fast.
We ordered the Deviled Eggs and Fried Halloumi Cheese to start, Duck Breast and Mac & Cheese for entrees, and the Guava Cheesecake and Blondie Ice Cream Sandwich for dessert. Everything was FANTASTIC. Other than the Mac & Cheese entree being a bit small for $19, no complaints. If you're looking for a fine dining experience, exceptional service, and quality ingredients, come to K.
