I am a huge seafood fan and I've heard from a number of friends that I need to visit the Boathouse in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). I haven't been down to this area in a few years and it's changed quite a bit. Lot more shops, lot more restaurants, and overall, a bit more upscale than it used to be. Quick side note, their parking garage is quite possibly the most advanced parking garage I've ever seen. Each parking spot has a sensor and each row has a counter to show you the number of open spots in that row. Ridiculous, but let's get back to the real reason why we're here.

Their menu changes regularly based on the seasonality and availability of their ingredients. Even still, their menu is pretty expansive. You can find practically any seafood offering from lobster rolls, fish tacos, shrimp and grits and everything in between. Not into seafood? Have no fear, they have a number of terrestrial options for land lovers too.

My girlfriend ordered the steak and fries (we substituted the fries for truffle fries for an extra $2) with a side of mac and cheese and I ordered the lobster bake for 2 with no intentions of sharing. Although it says the bake is meant to be shared, it can be pretty easily taken down solo if you're hungry enough.

Steak and truffle fries. Steak was slightly overcooked but fries were crisp with good truffle flavor.

Cheesy but slightly bland.

Lobster Bake. One whole lobster, mussels, sausage, potatoes, and corn in a seaweed lobster broth.

Satisfying, savory, and delicious. Killed it.

Overall the food was really good and the service, as you would expect from Disney, top notch. A bit pricey but seafood and Disney are never cheap. They also offer "amphicar" rides where if you have an extra $125 lying around, you and 2-3 other people can fart around the lake on an amphibious car driven by one of their staff members. A cute novelty if you have the change.
